I use No-IP.com for Dynamic DNS. I've been very happy with their service. Quite simply, it just works.

No-IP.com offers many Dynamic DNS update clients on their website. Unfortunately, the Linux client they offer (that runs as a daemon) is not quite compatiable with Mac OS X.

But have no fear, I've modified this client to be Mac OS X compatible and I've made it available 'as is' for download:

noip_updater_v1.6.tar.gz

Be sure to check out the README.FIRST file for installation instructions.

I run this Mac OS X version of the Dynamic DNS update client everyday and it's worked like a charm. Give it a try and I think, you'll be happy with it.

When configured correctly, the client will check your IP address at a given time interval checking to see if your IP has changed. If your IP address has changed it will notify No-IP's dns servers and update the IP corresponding to your No-IP/No-IP+ hostname. NOTE: You must add hostnames on the website first before you can have the updater update them.
